One of Daisy's key teachers in China, Master Wan Su Jian, is head of the Beijing Red Cross Medical Exchange Center, and passed on these Qigong short forms to Daisy that will be taught on Friday evening. Swimming Dragon is a relaxing warm-up exercise to clear the energy around the abdomen. It helps to alleviate digestive concerns when the body is under stress, as well as mid-section discomforts. Dragon Pearl is a movement that opens up the shoulders and torso while establishing strength in the legs and lower body. It is a favorite amongst practitioners and can be used to augment cancer treatment because of the increased oxygen flow in the body. Master Wan's Flying Phoenix cultivates the reconnection of our body's field with that of the earth and sky. Graceful and empowering, this movement supports core and spinal health, while improving the strength of the arms. Daisy will close the session with the Shaolin Massage that is often used at the end of a practice.
