This ongoing seasonal series features a variety of multi-disciplinary performance, arts & culture presentations… this Event begins with a Shamanic Sound Journey shortly after doors open (Bring a mat or blanket to lay upon or just sit on one of the chairs provided)… Transition into Spoken Words/Lyrical Poet-tree & body-mind Dance Art Meditation, then Marinate in the strings of the Kora playing entranced live musical soundscapes + a Singer/Songwriter Live Music set intended to generate healing for all listening… the event culminates with a procession of Flow Arts outdoors to behold the longest night with the light in a Fire Show Finale!

Iron Gump
Iron Gump is a Sound and Energy Worker. Through his understandings of energy and movement, he utilizes sound and vibration to guide people into spaces where they can freely explore relaxation. Iron Gump has shared his Sound Journeys in Manhattan and Connecticut board rooms and offices, Haitian refugee camps in Dominican Republic, private Japanese arboretum in Maui, boutique hotel on Maderas Beach, Nicaragua and many other places between for the last 7 years. Working alongside Remedy Partners Inc. and Quartet Health, he has lead and set the tone for corporate retreats, office openings, informative talks and more recently for Mental Health Week. His practice is an inclusive experience for people from all walks of life. "In a world of Make-Believe, let us believe in what we make."

Ambra Robinson
aka Ambra Renee is a Philly based fire performer. Her journey with fire spinning began in 2017 after performing with Setu Tribe in the great circle at Burning Man. Inspired by her Setu sisters and the PEX community, she continues to tell her stories through movement and fire dancing. Favorite prop: fire fans! Ambra is also a radio co-host, many have probably heard her on 98.5 FM’s “Uptown Date Night”. When she’s not spinning fire, Ambra enjoys experimenting with flow props while roller skating.

Dafna Cohen
aka DAFNA is a trained ballet and modern dancer, has found her way back to dance through hula hooping and skating. She has performed with the Philly fire troop at burning man, PEX parties, the Ghostley Circus , and many private parties on her skates with LED hoops, fire hoop and fire fans. When not delighting audiences, she is a physical therapist and mom to three boys

Cvgebird aka Selena Carrera, has been working in the capacity as an artist, producer, teaching-artist, curriculum developer, consultant, facilitator-trainer and youth-mentor for over a decade. Currently, she spends her day-to-day creating a space for youth impacted by the justice system and high-trauma areas to engage in socio- emotional transformative practices through music, self-expression, creative writing, and the performing arts. Existing in a culture that tries to put us in cages of conformity, her music and mission as Cvgebird (pronounced Cagebird), empowers listeners to break free and soar confidently in their gifts and abilities, with open wings. Within 3 years of teaching in the School District of Philadelphia at the Philadelphia Juvenile Justice Service Center and School, she received the Lindback Award for Extinguished Educators, as Teacher of the Year. She also served as a panelist alongside Philadelphia Superintendent of Schools highlighting her work, received acknowledgments from LA County Probation for my dedication, and has been a guest teaching-Artist at the University of California and Temple University in Philadelphia. Her short film, Frida Trap, has been selected in over 5 film festivals worldwide…

Youba Cissokho
Born to a griot family in Senegal, West Africa, Youba is a 72nd generation Kora Player. He performs traditional Mandinka and Wolof music, as well as modern style mixed with Jazz, Reggae, and Afro Beats. He comes from a musical family, with his dad Issa Cissokho, being the saxophone player for the legendary group Orchestra Baobab. Youba has traveled all over the world performing kora and is now located in Philadelphia, US. Currently, he is performing across the East Coast for private events, ceremonies, weddings, yoga retreats, classical & modern dance, and in clubs.

Plum Dragoness (a.k.a. Gabrielle de Burke)
Native to West Philadelphia, Plum Dragoness (a.k.a. Gabrielle de Burke) is a multitalented thespian, dancer, martial artist, instructor, poetess and writer who has been involved with performing arts since childhood. She is known for her poetic style, vocal performance, fire dance, flow arts, and choreographic flair throughout Philadelphia and abroad.
Over the past 17 years, she has toured as a solo artist, founding member/core performer/assistant artistic director of Archedream for HumanKind among many others. She has independently released two albums of original work with the project Plum Dragoness & the Elements, known for its fusion of multimedia, live world-beat musical infusions, spoken-word vocals and lyrical poetry. She has also helped bring together the all-female performance group trio The Femme-Mynistiques, who released their debut EP “Here She Comes…” in the summer of 2016.
Since 2007, Plum Dragoness has been a resident performance artist, as well as host and organizer for the successful performing arts series Poet-tree En Motion. This has allowed her the opportunity to share her own creative performances (including collaborative projects she initiated) and work created by many unique artists within the West Philadelphia community and beyond.
Her work as a healing arts practitioner and instructor continues to intersect with her work as an interdisciplinary performance artist through the incorporation of internal and martial arts forms in combination with dance, poetry and theater presentation. She has been teaching in the Philadelphia area and abroad since 2000.
